The Backyard Babies were one of the earliest of the second-wave sleaze bands. They  formed in Sweden in the late 1980's, but didn't produce a full album until 1994. They are largely credited with being one of the major influences on the current glam scene. After the release of their first album, guitarist/vocalist, Dregen, took a hiatus to help found the Swedish punk/rock group , the Hellacopters, which have also been among the big names of Swedish rock. After returning to the band, the Babies produced their second album in 1997, and all has been smooth sailing from there. Backyard Babies has toured with some of the greatest names in rock, including Velvet Revolver, AC/DC, and Alice Cooper, thus introducing them to thousands of fans, solidifying their reputation, and marking their page in the great history of rock 'n' roll.
